The Health Education Office is a component of Health Services. Its mission is to provide the Suffolk University student body with current information and resources that will assist them in developing healthy attitudes and behaviors to achieve and maintain optimum physical and emotional well-being.
This is done through the creative presentation of a range of programs, materials and activities organized and designed by the professional Health Educator and the Peer Health Educator program (SUPER). Information covered includes but is not limited to: sexual health, healthy relationships, alcohol and other drugs, sexuality, nutrition, eating concerns, stress, depression, anxiety and sexual assault and harassment.
The Health Education Office works collaboratively with clinical and administrative Health Services staff as well as other University departments and organizations to achieve the objectives outlined in Healthy Campus 2010: Making It Happen. The Health Education Office is committed to working collaboratively with students, organizations, and other members of the Suffolk University community. It is dedicated to fostering a campus culture that values the development of healthy behaviors and supports a healthy community.
