McNair Scholars participate in Research Internships with faculty mentors in their majors. The McNair project provides a stipend up to $2,800 for research internships. All scholars are part of the McNair community with mentors and staff dedicated to their success.

The project also provides

1. Seminars on research and writing skills
2. Assistance with identifying goals and creating plans to achieve them
3. Resources to finance their Graduate Studies
4. Assistance with the application process for Graduate School
5. Preparation for the Graduate Record Examination
6. An opportunity to attend a national conference
