• University-wide Email and Voicemail

Suffolk University employs a variety of communications tools for messages and information of interest to the Suffolk community.

Global Email

Global email messages are broadcast messages sent to all faculty, staff and students to help communicate important and time-sensitive matters.  To ensure the value of global emails, all messages must pertain to the health, welfare and safety of the Suffolk University community, such as

Emergency messages (which also will be distributed through the Emergency Alert system)
Announcements from the president or a top University official about issues that impact the entire University
Messages from Information Technology Services or Facilities Management alerting ITS users or building occupants of repairs, shutdowns or system changes.
All global email messages should be limited to 150 words or less. Longer items may be edited. Messages should be formatted as text only, and should not include images or attachments.

With the exception of emergency messages, global email messages should be submitted least 3 business days prior to distribution.

All global email messages must be reviewed and approved before being sent:

All faculty and staff: Karen DeCilio and Nancy Kelleher at infomail@suffolk.edu
Students in the Colleges: John Silveria at jsilveri@suffolk.edu
Students in the Law School: Laura Ferrari at lferrari@suffolk.edu

Suffolk Information Email for faculty and staff

An aggregate email for faculty and staff, including important announcements and an event listing, is distributed on the 15th and 30th of each month. When these dates fall on a weekend, the mailing occurs the following Monday.

An event listing includes the event name, date, time, place and sponsor.

The Office of Public Affairs will forward the event listing information to the Human Resources office for posting on the Campus Cruiser faculty/staff calendar.

This calendar may be accessed using the Campus Calendar link at the bottom of most Suffolk Web pages and selecting the Faculty/Staff icon. A brief paragraph about the event may be included on the campus portal calendar, but will not be included on the email list.

Announcements and listings may include links to Web pages or sites, but may not include attachments.

Items for the Suffolk Information Email must be sent to Public Affairs at infomail@suffolk.edu  48 hours before the distribution date.
