Master of Arts In Interior Design Curriculum
The curriculum for the Master of Art in Interior Design ranges from 10-32 courses (30-100 credits). Where you start in the curriculum depends upon your academic and professional background, which is evaluated during the admission process.
Where to Start
If you do not have and undergraduate degree in a visual arts discipline you will, in most cases, be required to begin your studies at the Foundation Course level (courses coded at 500 and above).
If you have an undergraduate degree in the visual arts (other than interior design) you can often be exempted from the Foundation Coursework and will most likely begin your studies at the Foundational Interior Design Course level (courses coded at 600 and above).
If you have a BFA in Interior Design, you will most likely be exempted from both the Foundation and Foundational Interior Design Coursework, and you can begin your studies at the Interior Design Graduate Course level (courses coded at 700 and above).
