Suffolk is not the sort of university that requires a lot of lawn mowers. We are not quaint. We are not bucolic. But—to the immense benefit of our students—we are very busy being immersed in one of America’s most dynamic cities. Today, it’s hard to tell where Boston stops and Suffolk begins.

In the last decade, Suffolk has made a quantum leap in the caliber of its facilities. We delight in our urban location and in our long tradition of investing in people first. Yet more and more, we see the need to offer learning and living spaces that are worthy of the people of Suffolk and in step with the demands of the times.

As Suffolk solidifies its place in the top tier of American education, we need to offer students and faculty facilities that are in line with our peers. While we don’t aim to reproduce their endless acreage, we do believe that a suite of targeted investments in renovating and maintaining the campus—from our laboratories and classrooms to our theater and new TV/video studio—can make a profound difference in the quality of a Suffolk education.
