The Diversity Committee seeks to foster understanding and respect for all forms of diversity including, but not limited to, race, SES, education, culture/ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, language, weight, disabilities, mental illness and any other – ism that creates conditions of oppression, disrespect and/or disenfranchisement. We are especially interested in ways of increasing diversity of underrepresented groups into the field of psychology, of ensuring that underserved populations are served, and finding ways for diverse voices to be integrated into the science and practice of psychology.
