• What to Bring to the Residence Hall

To Bring or Not To Bring...

Here is a list of suggested items you may want to bring with you when you move into the residence hall. We strongly encourage you to speak with your roommate(s) about what each of you will or will not bring.

150 Tremont and Miller Hall:

Things to Bring:
• Towels, sheets, blanket, pillow
• Personal toiletries, Shower shoes
• Desk lamp, Clock radio
• Mattress Pad/Cover
• Stereo, TV, VCR, etc.
• Stationary items (pens, pencils, etc.)
• Flashlight, Wastebasket
• Power strip, Coaxial cable for television
• Laundry Supplies, Cleaning Supplies for room; (semi -private bathroom if applicable) Hangers
• “Long-Mask Masking Tape” (or painter’s tape– does not remove the paint!!!)
• Refrigerator (no longer than 4.0 cubic feet)  Small microwave, “Microfridges”
• Cups, plates, silverware, etc.
• Computer, printer, etc.
• Telephone
• White board and dry erase markers
• Automatic shut-off iron

At 10 West:

Same as above plus kitchen supplies (coffee makers, toasters, & Forman grills ok)
Please note this list of items that are not permitted in the residence hall. Please do not bring them with you.

Things NOT to Bring:

• Coffee pots/makers, electric heaters, or any cooking appliance
• Candles, incense
• Pets (including fish)
• Alcohol (including “decorative” containers)
• Illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia
• Halogen lamps (including desk lamps)
• Firearms, including mace and pepper spray
• Car- Suffolk University students are not permitted to have cars.
