Upon detection of smoke and/or fire, follow the R-A-C-E plan:

Rescue

When you discover a fire, rescue or assist people in immediate danger, only if you can do so safely without endangering yourself.

Alarm

Sound the alarm by activating a fire alarm pull station and calling University Police at (617)573-8111 from a safe location.

Confine

Close all doors, windows, and other openings as you leave, only if you can do so safely.

Evacuate

Immediately evacuate the building.
