We also offer a series of writing labs linked directly to designated sections of ENG 101 (Freshman Composition). These labs are meant to support small groups of students in the same section of ENG 101 in areas of reading comprehension and writing.  Labs meet two hours per week, are non-credit, and are pass/fail.  The Pass/Fail grade does not affect the student’s GPA, but does on appear on the student’s transcript.

Students who are placed in English 101 plus lab as a result of orientation testing are required to register for a lab section of English 101 along with the corequisite lab.  Professors of lab sections of English 101 may also require students to attend the lab attached to their section(s) of English 101.  Students may also register for a lab section of English 101 and its corequisite lab voluntarily. Periodic evaluations of student participation will be sent to the ENG 101 instructors.

If you need additional information or help registering for a lab, please contact Janet Oliver at 617-573-8677 or joliver@suffolk.edu.
