April, 2008
Congratulations on your students’ admission to Suffolk University! We are looking forward to welcoming him/her at our First Year Student Orientation program this summer.
We are also pleased to welcome you, as parents and family members, to the Suffolk Community and want to extend that welcome at our Family Orientation Program. While this program runs parallel to First Year Student Orientation, it is a separate one-day program specifically designed to assist parents and families of first year students in their transition to Suffolk.
I hope you will join us for the Family Orientation program. I believe that you will receive valuable information that will help you understand the academic expectations of the University and the many services and resources available to assist students. In addition, you will have the opportunity to meet faculty from the College of Arts and Sciences and the Sawyer Business School, and staff from a variety of departments, including Health Services, the Suffolk Police Department, the Counseling Center, Student Accounts, the Ballotti Learning Center, Academic Advising, Student Activities, Residential Life, Off-Campus Housing and more.
You will be asked to confirm your attendance by completing the Orientation Reservation Form which will be available on April 1, 2008.
Hope to see you there!
Sincerely,
Nancy C. Stoll, Ed.D
Dean of Students
