Transfer Credit Policy

For Students Entering the Suffolk MBA Online

Six credits of elective courses, taken at the graduate level from an AACSB accredited MBA program, may be transferred, if the credits do not apply to a previously completed degree.

Transfer credits must have an earned degree of B or better and be taken within five years prior to entering the Suffolk MBA Online Program, and apply only to electives.

For Suffolk MBA Online Students Outside of the Boston Area

You have the option of complementing your online experience with a maximum of six credits of elective courses at an AACSB accredited MBA campus-based program near your place of residence. These transfer credits must be pre-approved by Suffolk’s Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and must have a grade of B or better.

Regardless of waiver or transfer credits, all students MUST complete a minimum of 31 credits (10 courses and the one-credit Effective Career Planning course) in the Sawyer Business School to earn the Suffolk MBA Online. In some instances, students may have to substitute Sawyer Business School electives for waived core courses to achieve the 10 courses.
