Suffolk Global MBA Internships Provide Real-World Experience for Full-Time Students

Suffolk Global MBA internship projects are more than international work experience. They’re real-life learning labs where students put their newly-acquired global business knowledge to the test. They’re also valuable opportunities for students to make important corporate contacts.

Full-time Global MBAs are required to complete a 3-month, full-time internship outside their home country. The MBA Programs office helps students identify internship opportunities and facilitates the process.

Summer internship projects relate to either the International Finance concentration or the International Marketing concentration.

Following the internship, students return to campus at the end of summer for a one week Capstone Seminar, during which they complete their projects that build on shared learning from their internship experiences.

Part-time students may either complete a three-month summer internship or a global research project based in their company or a designated Suffolk corporate affiliate.

Global MBA students have done internships in Germany, Canada, New Zealand, England, Norway, Australia, Denmark, Greece and in the United States.

Companies that students will be working for in Summer 2008 include:

Volkswagen - United Kingdom

 Jeremy Fox

Jeremy came to Suffolk with three years professional work experience in the financial services industry and is completing the international finance concentration in the Global MBA. His interests lie in corporate finance so this will be an excellent opportunity for him to work for a major global company and apply what he’s learned in the classroom to real business issues.

Just prior to assuming his three-month internship at Volkswagen in the UK, Jeremy will be participating in Suffolk’s one-week Global Travel Seminar: Business in Germany, meeting with corporate executives from companies such as Lufthansa and BMW.
