BSBA Major in Finance

The BSBA in Finance exposes you to the theory and practice of corporate finance, financial institutions, investments, international finance, speculative markets, insurance, real estate and other related innovations. You will be introduced to the primary concepts needed to gain the managerial skills and analytical tools to solve problems in managing portfolios, analyzing security investments, providing funds for a business, and controlling and planning the flow of funds within the enterprise.

The BSBA major in Finance consists of a minimum of 7 courses/21 credits.

Financial Planning Track

If you are interested in financial planning as a career, Suffolk also offers you the option to personalize your degree by selecting the Financial Planning Track. Upon completing this program, students are eligible to take the CFP exam.

Experiential Component

The Experiential Component, FIN 560, enables students to receive professional finance experience through a non-credit practicum, internship, part- or full-time employment, or through a cooperative education position through Suffolk’s Office of Career Services and Cooperative Education.
