There are some jobs that are invisibly integral to every day life. Without information systems experts, not only would the trains not run in time; virtually all aspects of everyday life would come to a halt. It’s a profession that has become that important!
The Information Systems Department at the Sawyer Business School is intent on preparing our students for a career in the field as soon as they step foot out the door. Using computer-related skills, students learn to analyze, design and implement information systems to enhance business success.
Our curriculum is focused on preparing students for real-world applications. Taught by faculty with wide-ranging experience in the public and private sectors, classes such as Database Management, Systems Analysis & Design, and Web Content Development, deliver the latest in cutting-edge knowledge for today’s rapidly evolving information systems profession.
The work of computer and information systems managers is closely related to that of computer programmers, computer software engineers, computer systems analysts, computer scientists and database administrators, and computer support specialists and systems administrators. Computer and information systems managers also have some high-level responsibilities similar to those of top executives.
