Athens, Greece has been at the center of the action from almost the beginning of recorded history. Known as the cradle of Western Civilization and the birthplace of democracy, Athens’ position as a global center endures. It is the center of Greek economic, political, and cultural life and the hub for many leading global companies, such as those involved in shipping, banking and tourism.
By joining Professor Anthony Eonas for this seminar traveling over Spring 2009 to Athens, you’ll also see a city that has been reborn since hosting the 2004 Olympic Games. Athens’ sparkling new infrastructure, including a new airport and subway system has prompted economic growth and greater opportunity for those wishing to do business in the area. To learn about those opportunities, you’ll interact with local business executives and experts. To complete the experience in Greece, you be immersed in the local culture with visits to sites like the Acropolis and a day trip to Delphi.
