Number of Courses and Length of Program

The Suffolk MBA is a 10 to 18 course program, depending on your educational background. See our course waiver  and transfer credit policy and our accelerated degree options.

Three required courses emphasize Suffolk’s commitment to career focus, global business, and each student’s ability to maximize their strategic management skills. Core courses provide the basic core competencies expected in today’s business world, while 100+ electives mean you can customize your MBA to your professional goals.

Full-Time or Part-Time

  • Full-time students enroll in 12 to 15 credits per semester (4 or 5 courses) and can complete the MBA in 10 to 16 months, depending on waviers.
  • Part-time students enroll in less than 12 credits per semester (1, 2, or 3 courses) and can complete the MBA in 16 to 28 months, depending upon waivers

In today’s business world, opportunities present themselves to high achievers. Once admitted to the Suffolk MBA, you may move between full- and part-time status by changing the number of credits in which you enroll. International students on an F-1 visa must however, maintain full-time status during the academic year.

    Select 8 courses from among MBA electives in accounting, business law and ethics, entrepreneurship, finance and managerial economics, health administration, information systems, international business, marketing, organizational behavior, public administration and nonprofit management, strategic management, and taxation.
