’Operations Management is the systematic direction and control of the processes that transform inputs into finished goods and services. These goods and services have characteristics that distinguish them in the marketplace, such as high quality, low cost, or rapid delivery. This course provides an introduction to the concepts and analytical methods that are useful in understanding the management of an organization’s operations in both manufacturing and service industries. Topics covered include manufacturing and service operations, supply chain management, total quality management, and forecasting. Prerequisite: MBA 620’
